How much baggage is an infant allowed?
Passengers travelling with an infant (up to 24 months) are allowed an additional 5 kilograms baggage allowance.
In addition to the standard baggage allowance for the fare, infants and children will be permitted to check-in two additional items free-of-charge, where such items are a bassinet, portable cot, car seat, booster seat, stroller, pram, pushchair, or other similar item permitted at the discretion of the airline. Space constraints on some flights/aircraft may preclude carriage of these items, and where this occurs this will be advised to the customer immediately prior to departure.
How much hand baggage can I take onboard?
All passengers are only allowed to carry on one
item of baggage weighing less than 7 kilograms. Different aircraft have different baggage configurations and so we ask that carry-on baggage doesn’t exceed total linear
dimensions of 115 centimetres in height, length or width.

Air Chathams charge extra for bulky or oversized items such as golf bags, surfboards, fishing rods, firearms, instruments and bicycles.
If a passenger has booked a fare that includes a checked baggage allowance (Saver or Full Economy) and their bulky or oversized item is the only checked-in baggage, an excess baggage fee of $3.50 per kilogram will apply for any weight exceeding 23 kilograms.
If the bulky or oversize item is an additional piece of baggage checked in (additional to 1 piece of luggage up to 23 kilograms per person) then charges for additional pieces of luggage will apply.
For all Air Chathams flights across our network, a handling fee of $50 per item is applicable for bulky or oversized items.
If the aircraft payload capacity is limited for a flight and bulky and oversize items are unable to be carried due to space restrictions, these items will be flown on the next available flight.
